Our second rover, the ATOM - designed and fabricated in-house - is a state of art Autonomous rover showcases a comprehensive fusion of intelligence and ruggedness. Featured a Robotic Arm with 5 Degree of Freedom, powered by heavy-duty actuators, strong enough to lift over 5 kilograms with ease.
We built the rover on the flexible chassis of optimum ground clearance with Aluminium 6061 tubings. We equipped it with a telemetry monitoring system and a communication system which supported two radio channels simultaneously. Armed with a retractable auger based drill and uTAS microfluidic Lab-on-a-Chip apparatus for detecting biomolecules.
Cleared Preliminary Design Review (PDR) round and bagged an impressive score in System Analysis Report (SAR) round at University Rover Challenge, USA.
